校長的話 (11月)

It is my honour to become the Principal of Saint Louis School (Primary Section). When I met some students on the first day, they waved to me warmly, and I felt their welcome and acceptance of me as a stranger. “If we love one another, God remains in us, and his love is brought to perfection in us."(1 John 4:12) As the head of a school, I firmly believe that authority is not the most important thing. Only LOVE can break all barriers.

 

After working in the school for two months, I would like to take the opportunity to thank Father Chan Hung Kee, the school supervisor, for inspiring and guiding me from time to time. As for the teachers of the school, their love and care for students, their enthusiasm for teaching, and their devotion to the school are well respected. We will work jointly and spare no effort for education.

 

I undoubtedly believe that the parents of the school support and trust the school. Parents may communicate with the school at any time. They understand and appreciate the school's philosophy, and accept all the school's policies and reforms without reservation. Parents and our school would work together for the benefits of students.

 

Moreover, I wish to thank our old boys. They have strong attachment and passion for the school. They are fond of visiting the old school and organising various activities for our boys. Most important is that they have given the school all kinds of generous support from time to time. They really love the Saint Louis School.

 

Finally, I must mention my lovely students. I take every opportunity to meet with them every day. I greet them outside the campus gate in the morning. We also have brief gatherings during the recesses and chats in the principal's room at lunchtime and I notice that they are remarkable. Their wisdom; unique thinking ability; high language proficiency have impressed me deeply. The Saint Louis School has educated many outstanding talents over the years. But what has touched me most is the majestic boys who all have a gentle and kind heart. They care for each other and they also take good care of their younger schoolmates in lower forms.

 

I sincerely wish that in the coming years, the traditional spirit of the Saint Louis School (Primary Section) will sustain and last forever!

 

能夠在聖類斯中學(小學部)工作，對我來說是無尚的光榮，當我由第一天走進孩子群時，他們對我熱烈的揮手，我感受到他們對我這個陌生者的歡迎及接受。正如若望一書第四章12節所說：「如果我們彼此相愛，天主就在我們內，他的愛在我們內才是圓滿的。」作為一校之長，我深信權威不是最重要的，只有愛才可以打破一切樊籬的阻隔。

 

在這短短兩個多月，感謝校監陳鴻基神父，他不時給我啟發與指導，猶如黑夜裏的明燈，帶我走進這一所極具歷史風貌的校園。而學校的老師，他們對學生的愛護及關懷備至，對教學的熱誠執著，時刻緊守著崗位，更能與我並肩同行，一起為教育不遺餘力，令我這個外來者完全沒有孤單的感覺。

 

而我更深信學校的家長，他們能對學校支持及信賴，無疑就像為學校打下一支強心針。更能時刻與學校彼此溝通，互相體諒及理解，明白及欣賞學校的辦學理念，對學校的政策及改革毫無懸念的照單全收，這一切就源於對學校的愛，為孩子的成長，與學校一起共同努力！

 

再者，我也要感謝我們的舊生，不論他們離開學校的時間是長或短，他們對母校的眷戀和不捨，只會隨年月有增無減。他們不時回到母校，再尋回舊日的足跡，在這依戀的情感下，他們更會毫不吝嗇地給予學校無限支援，因為「聖類斯」三字對他們來說是充滿象徵意義，代表著童年、卓越、愛和關懷。

 

最後，教我時刻記掛的還是我一個個可愛的學生，我每天爭取和他們相聚的機會，清晨時在校園門外的寒暄招呼；小息時的短暫相聚；午膳時校長室內的暢談，讓我發現聖類斯中學(小學部)的學生優秀之處，他們深不可測的智慧；獨特的思考方式；語言的超卓，令我讚嘆不已，一直聽聞聖類斯學校多年來培育不少出類拔萃人才，原來所言非虛。但最叫我感動的是一個個雄赳赳的男孩子，原來都懷著一顆溫柔的心，他們不單能彼此關懷，也會照顧年幼的同學。

 

期望在未來的歲月中，聖類斯中學(小學部)的傳統文化長存不息！
